In the afternoon the Library will be hosting an event to mark the occasion: Women and the First World War: Saturday 8 March 14.30- 15.30 in the Caird Library. Join this free event and explore the Library's manuscript and photographic archive to discover more about the many and various roles played by women during the First World War, with a special focus on the formation of the Women's Royal Naval Service (WRNS).
